The four-flat at 4509 Manchester on February 15, 2005. The building, dating to the World War I era, is a fine example of vernacular architecture the employed the bricks produced nearby at the Hydraulic Press Brick Company plant. It sits empty and its porch is a favorite "hang" for drug users, the homeless and others. Locals try to avoid walking down the sidewalk in front of the building during warm weather.
