Wrecking proceeded swiftly through November 2005, and the remains of the well-known "cookie cutter" stadium were barely recognizable by the end of the month. In fact, demolition was well ahead of schedule. Construction of the new stadium next door was proceedinf quickly, too, and the adjacent new stadium seemed to be consuming the old one. The cast concrete and modern lines were processed into phony historicism and brick veneer.
